I'm not really sure why we do it every time, but we always think that we have so much time in between each show that we put off pricing and tagging and painting and cleaning and well, you get the picture. We now have 3 days to do all of the above in preparation for the upcoming
Two Women Art and Antique Show this weekend. So off to work we go, hi, ho, hi, ho... Oh, just a little sneak peek at a few of the things that we will have for sale this weekend. We will share some more pictures with you later in the week!

Black Bean and Corn Salad

YUM! This was dinner last night along with some enchiladas and mexican rice made with a mango salsa. I was out of green onions so I used sweet onions instead, you could use either one you prefer though. The bean salad is also good by itself with some Juanita's tortilla chips to dip.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen corn kernels
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 6 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Directions

  1. Place lime juice, olive oil, garlic, salt, and cayenne pepper in a small jar. Cover with lid, and shake until ingredients are well mixed.
  2. In a salad bowl, combine beans, corn, avocado, bell pepper, tomatoes, green onions, and cilantro. Shake lime dressing, and pour it over the salad. Stir salad to coat vegetables and beans with dressing, and serve.

Grand opening...

The day finally arrived... The grand opening of The Farm Chicks store.

\

The store is filled with all kinds of must have items like cute cupcake liners, pink polka dot candles, note pads, jewelry, t-shirts and hats. Oh, and the most adorable pink cupcake plate. I wish I would have taken a picture of it up close, but you can click on the picture below to maybe get a better look.

On a hot summer day what is better that a free scoop of ice cream. Thanks Serena it was yummy!

The big purchase of the day. Adorable floral scissors, a bracelet, lip balm, tiny little enamel bowl, letters, and fun pins for embellishing all those projects that are waiting to be finished.

This dresser is just waiting for a good home...

Wouldn't this be a fun addition to your garden?

It's hard to tell from the picture, but the chair is a pretty robins egg blue.
