We took a ride with Pend Oreille Pedal Cabs through downtown Sandpoint and arouind the City Beach. If you plan on visiting Sandpoint, I recommend that you take a ride.

Junkers delight

We had so much fun at a recent yard sale and came home with a truck full of goods. It is hard to see from the picture, but there are 6 dressers and alot of odds and ends pieces that we cannot wait to create something new out of.

Hiking in Riverside State Park

The other day we went hiking in Riverside State Park to see some eagles and their nest that we had been hearing about. It was about 2 1/2 miles(uphill most of the way) all together,but totally worth it. The view was spectacular,and we were lucky to see the two young eagles waiting for mom to bring them dinner.

4th of July road trip

Over the 4th of July we took a road trip to Rexburg/Idaho Falls to visit family. While in Rexburg we ate ate this taco bus which has been converted into a little restaurant. The kitchen is in the back and along the sides of the bus is bench seating. The food was absoutley wonderful, and would recomend it to anyone passing through.

More Farm Chicks

This little girl is the new proud owner of this adorable little doll house. She came all the way from Minnesota with her mom to visit her grandma, and to come to the Farm Chicks show of course. While they were shopping on Saturday they spotted the doll house but did not purchase it. Early on Sunday morning they came back hoping that it would still be there. Sure enough it was! It was pure delight as she was told yes, you get to take the doll house home with you! I'm so glad that the doll house will have such a happy home with such a sweet little girl.

Day one of the Farm Chicks Show was absolutely delightful! The line for the show started about 7:00 am and the doors did not even open until 10:00am. How amazing is that! These are some serious shoppers.

Busy bees

Just a few more pieces that we have ready to go to Farm Chicks. Only 2 more days to go!
This bench was made from an old headboard, add some legs, a little paint, some material and you have a bench. Well it is not quite that easy, but it is still pretty cute.
We have been working non stop getting ready for the show. Painting, pasting, fixing, organizing, packing and not alot of sleep this past week. We are so excited to be a part of the Farm Chick show again this year and feel privileged to be in the presence of such talented women.
Tomorrow we will start packing the trailer and finish up all the last minute projects. Another busy day...

Farm Chicks... Need I say more?

Today we were at a yard sale where we found a crate full of vintage chalkboards. Oh the possibilities. You could put one in a cute vintage frame and hang it on the wall. You could hang one in your kitchen or put it on an easel as a menu board. They could easily be taken in the car for kids to pass the time while on a long road trip. The possibilities are endless. We would love to hear your ideas of things to do with vintage chalkboards, so leave us a comment. We will be selling these at the Farm Chick show. See ya there!
